Home for a few days for a family issue and grabbed a room at the Quality Inn and Black Jax is the restaurant that’s here. I’m always skeptical of hotel restaurants as they tend to serve expensive mediocre food. Not here. I had the Shroom burger the first night and it was delicious. Cooked to perfection and juicy without being greasy. Last night I was craving some wings and went with the Garlic Parmesan ones with onion rings and of course I ordered bleu cheese because thats what adults do for all you peeps who dip a wing in ranch (heathen!). The wings were listed as jumbo and they were. The flavors popped in your mouth and the wings were cooked to perfection. Erie has some great wing places and this is one of them. Holy s@&t! There’s a ton of flavors available and there’s even some dry rub flavors for you neat freaks The menu was pretty decent. Lots of appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, house specialties, pizza, and wings - even those boneless “wings” for you people who like chicken nuggets but want to sit at the adult table. There’s some awards hanging up for best wings in Erie and I now know why. The beer was ice cold, had the taste of clean lines, and the bartenders were friendly, cool, and tentative both times I went.

The staff was awesome, excellent food with good view of pool. Only suggestion would be some shades on those windows. (Sandwich is the Tuscan with provolone and pepper jack)

The hotel it’s attached to is among the dingiest hotels I’ve ever stayed in, but Black Jax was an amazing foil. My friend and I both ordered their patty melt and it was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. I would 100% drive out of my way on any future trip to Erie just to eat that again. Service was great and the food was well-worth their generous prices. I will be recommending them to anyone I know visiting Erie in the future.

Really really good bar food. Nice people running the place. Don’t be put off by the exterior of the hotel. My burger was freshly made and quite big. Salad had fresh greens - no iceberg or romaine. This is the kind of surprise you hope for on a roadtrip.

Surprisingly great food and good times at Black Jax. I like a good chicken quesadilla, but hesitate to order them as many places put together a sparse and lackluster offering. Not Black Jax! Enjoyed maybe the best chicken quesadilla ever, loaded with veggies and cheese and other goodies (the “supreme" version I think they call it). My two buddies gave thumbs up to their fish fry and chicken sandwich, too. Fun and sizable crowd on a Friday night, with karaoke that provided some comical entertainment LOL. Staffers kept their poise and good cheer throughout a busy night. Place has a nice ambiance (though lighting was too bright). Black Jax itself is a good reason to stay at the attached Comfort Inn, or (very) nearby Super 8 if you’re passing through, as we were on the last night of a 22-day motorcycle ride.

For an out-of-the-way place, this is a great spot. Top-notch service, some of the best wings I've ever had, and great prices as well. It's more sports bar than family restaurant, but wouldn't worry about bringing kids along if you're staying at the attached hotel. Spectacular wings tho. Would happily go back again.

I’ve stayed in the Quality inn many times & never knew the best wings I’ve ever tasted hands down is in this comfy & cozy place called Black Jacks literally in the lobby of the hotel. Taylor the restaurant manager was so on point detailing my order. I had Honey BBQ Garlic Wings it wasn’t on the menu & when I asked could they mix the 2 Taylor made it happen fr fr. Almost bit off one of my fingers beyond finger licking good the absolute best wings period. Go visit black jacks you won’t be disappointed ask for Taylor & she will make you feel right at home!
